Sunday, October 5, 2008:  Everyone was leaping for joy to see me!  Well, not me, as I am too old to get off the ground - LOL!  The alarm was on, and as soon as the kitties heard it - they came flying from all directions - LOL!  We had a great time!  I laid down on the floor in the cat's room and instantly had a cat mat laying on top of me!!  Sammy and Ollie were on top of my chest and tummy and Maggie was lying next to my arm.  We were as snug as a bug in a rug!!   Everyone got food refills, fresh water, and litter boxes scooped.  All was well.

Monday, October 6, 2008:  Today was porch day - the kitties and I spent the afternoon lolling around on the porch.  Ollie was intent on stalking lizard critters and Sammy and Maggie just snuggled up side-by-side in front of the door and watched the world go by!  It was a very warmish day, but we enjoyed it.  I read them some more of my book, they seem really interested in the blood and guts parts but the kissy-kissy stuff, not so much. LOL!  I brushed them a bit while we were out there and they really seemed to enjoy it.  Ollie got a belly rub!  We just said around, chilling out, and listening to the clocks going off.  It was great!  Food refills, fresh water and scooped litters - everyone is happy!
Tuesday, October 7, 2008:  I gave the kitties some treats yesterday, but they didn't seem to have agreed with them.  I found a few "throw-ups" spots on the rug in cat's room and on the floor in the kitchen.  We cleaned them all up and now everything is great.  Ollie followed me around, supervising the clean-up activities :-)  We had some more porch time because we like it out there, and there is so MUCH to see while we're there.  And it's easier to brush them out there (if you can catch the every adventuresome Ollie - LOL).  Food all refilled and fresh water for all!  Litter boxes all scooped, everything lookin' fine!
Wednesday, October 8, 2008:  You got bunches of mail today and a package, I've been putting all the mail on the counter.  There were a few more throw-ups today, but not to bad.  As I was cleaning up, Ollie, who was supposed to be supervising the clean-up detail, ended up being inside my bag.  I asked him what he was doing inside my pet sitting bag?? He, of course, took the fifth!  :-)  We all hung out together and had the best time - they're all my little snuggle bunnies!  Food all refilled, fresh water for all, and litter boxes scooped - all was well.
Thursday, October 9, 2008:  We all got to visit with Cindy the cleaning lady today!  Ollie was having a great time, getting into her brushes, and tipping her stuff over - LOL!  It was so much fun!  Sammy and Maggie came out for a quick visit when Cindy left for awhile, but they definitely don't like Cindy as much as Ollie does - LOL!!  Everyone got food refills and fresh water, litters all scooped and area swept.  I had to show Cindy how to turn the alarm on so that she could arm it when she left.  All was well - kitties were doing great - no problems.
Friday, October 10, 2008:  Well, this was an interesting day!  :-)  When I got there for the first visit I saw Cindy's van parked in the drive but she wasn't in the house when I got there (altho the alarm was off and the vacuum was out in the kitchen, but all the kitties were out and about, so Cindy must have been there earlier and they were not worried about her anymore.  We played out on the porch and had some great quiet time - I think the kitties were glad that I was there and Cindy wasn't - LOL.  I cleaned the litter, refilled the food and water, and swept up.  All was well.

Then the alarm saga!  LOL!  I went to check on the alarm and there were two cop cars sitting out in front of your house - I wanted to make sure that you were on the phone in case they decided to cuff me and carry me off to the BIG house :-)  But all they did was walk up to me and told me that they had checked the place out and all was well - no signs of a break-in, so they assumed that it was a false alarm.  I told them it was probably the cleaning lady that did it.  They let me go inside, but they stayed out in front of the house for awhile.  As I walked in, I immediately saw the problem.  It looked like Cindy had turned on the alarm when she left (I showed her how to the day before), but when she left, she was in a hurry and didn't shut the garage door tight enough (the door leading to the kitchen).  The door musta cracked open and that made the alarm "arm" itself - after 80 seconds, it went off!  But all was well when I got there and I stayed a long time with the kitties (until they all came out - even Ollie was hiding - I think we finally found something that unnerves that boy!),  But they all started coming out, little by little,  Ollie came out first, and then Sammy and then Maggie (a long time after the boys came out).  I didn't see Leo but I'm pretty sure that he was just still in hiding.  I stayed with everyone for a while and then told them all goodbye - they were happy again when I left - all was well.
Saturday, October 11, 2008:  Everything was back to normal this morning!  Everyone came out and greeted me when I walked in - I thought they might be afraid of the alarm buzzing, but they seemed to have gotten over the alarm incident :-)  I took them all out on the porch and spent about a half hour with them, just letting them hang out in the sunshine.  Then we went back inside and I gave them new food and water.  I couldn't find any big bags to put the litter in, but I wanted to change both the boxes so they would be fresh for when you get home.  I used the little grocery bags, but doubled them - they worked fine,  I disinfected the boxes and refilled them with new litter - all should be nice for when you get home.  And then the kitties and I hung out in the living room and I read some more to them.  They were all cuddled around me and we had a nice quiet time and lots of purring going on!  Everything was great!  I hope you had a wonderful time!  I will send you your next confirmation for the November dates.  All was well.
