THE TRIO OF MAX, MAXINE & MOZART
www.persnickety-pets.com
Sunday, December 16, 2007:  Thanks for the text message about the alarm.  I probably would have thought that something was wrong with it, so I was glad to know that it was only left off!  The kitties weren't sure what to think of me but I think that Mozart remembered me because when I sat down on the couch he came over and got on my lap and checked me from tip to toes!!  LOL!  Maxine rolled around on the floor and let me rub her belly and Max observed it all.  I cleaned all the litters (and of course, they ALL had to go again, as soon as I was finished :-)  They got their wet food and thought that it was very yummy.  I checked their water supplies, and coaxed some of the dry food down the chamber so the bottom was full in the auto feeder.  Everyone seems to be doing fine - no problems.  I love the calendar on your table - Bad Cat - too funny.  You also have a GREAT picture of all three kitties in a basket, how did you get them to sit still that long???? LOL!  I talked with your neighbor as I was leaving.  I was standing outside your door, making sure that the alarm set okay, and he walked out. He asked me if I was the cat lady, and I told him yes (I couldn't tell him I was the Catwoman because I would have had to had a WAY better outfit on, something black and tight - LOL).  Anyway, I set the alarm, told the kitties bye - all was well!  Hope you're all having a blast!!  THANKS SO MUCH for the check and tip!!  That was so sweet of you!
Monday, December 17, 2007:   Yes, you have such wonderful children!!  I can't believe they gave me that great calendar for Christmas!!  That was so sweet of them (and their folks had already been so nice!!), I shall have to give all the furry ones an extra hug!!  Today we had a great time playing with the flippy floppy thing!  Mozart and Maxine are more into the game than Max is, but they were all boogying around the floor by the time I left. I gave all the kitties their yummy wet food and then checked to make sure that all the water bowls were full and gurgling properly.  The kitties all followed me around today and were quite happy to see me.  Maxine likes to wrap her entire body around the chair legs and ambush the flippy floppy from the safety of the chair cave.  However, Mozart likes to intimidate the flippy string and pounce out in the open.  Mozart is getting sooooo big, I do believe he is going to be the "bruiser" of the trio!!  :-)  I cleaned all the litter boxes and swept around.  I made sure the dry food was still coming down the feeder.  We had a great time, loads of fun by all.  I set the alarm and waited outside to make sure that it set properly.  I didn't see your neighbor today.  It was breezy enough outside to blow the freckles off my face!!  And pretty nippy too, but the inside temperature was purr-fect and the kitties were as snug as bugs in rugs!!  I told the kitties goodbye, all was well.
Tuesday, December 18, 2007:   The kitties were very excited to see me today!  I think they are missing their folks and are very happy to have a surrogate come visit.  After I did my chores, (cleaning the litter box, cleaning the area, cleaning bowls and giving all the kitties some yummy brunch, and checking the water), I laid on the floor with the kitties and we had a wonderful time with all the toys!!. I liked the 'princess' flippy with the purple tail, but they weren't all excited about that,  However, when I got the flippy that has the fishing fly on the end, I thought they would go bonkers!  Max even managed to knock it down a few times.  Once he decided that he likes to play with me, then he decided that I wasn't too bad afterall, and then hung out with me the rest of the time.  Maxine, the Princess, loves to have her belly rubs and massage - she is sooooo soft!!  Mozart likes to be petted too, and even tries to butt Maxine out of the way.  He knows no fear!!  We had a great time.  I told them "thanks very much for the calendar, and of course, they beamed!!  It is warming up quite nicely and the temps inside purr-fect!!  Everything is going well - hope you are having a terrific time!!!  I set the alarm and waited till it set correctly and then told the kitties goodbye.
Wednesday, December 19, 2007:   Everything is going great - no problems at all, although, it is getting warmer and warmer and I hope it doesn't get too hot for the kitties in the house.  So far, so good. It's only one more day, so I don't think it will get much warmer inside than it already is.  The kitties are not having any tummy problems or potty problems - no throw ups anywhere.  They have been scattering their toys all over the living room and I keep telling them that their folks are coming home soon and they really need to straighten up their toys, but like teenagers - it goes in one pointy ear and out the other!!  :-)  I did try to straighten up a little yesterday and went around sweeping up glittery stuff and kitty dribble. I will make sure that is it tidied up tomorrow before I leave, but cannot guarantee what it will look like after I leave - LOL!  I know the kitties will be so happy to see their mom and pop again!!  We had a grand time playing with the flippy things and Max was really getting into the game.  Mozart likes to hide in the elevated tunnel and pounce on Max.  Maxine, the princess, likes to waller around on the floor and get her belly rubs.  It certainly is hard being the princess!!  I saw that once on a dog collar and loved it.  I stole it - LOL!!  All is well - I hope you are still having a wonderful time!!
Thursday, December 20, 2007:   I told everyone that their folks would be home soon - they were so excited, Maxine actually did the "Happy Roll", back and forth across the floor - too funny.  Mozart sat in my lap and gazed into my eyes - probably was testing me to see if I was telling the truth - LOL!  Even Max was less shy and wanted some petting!  We went around the Homestead and picked up toys, put them in neat piles and swept up some more glittery stuff.  I would have vacuumed the area but couldn't find the cleaner, so we just swept up what we could, me and Mozart, who insisted in trying to ride in the dustbin.  :-)  They got their wet food lunch and I made sure the dry food was settling at the bottom where they could get to it.  All the water fountains were topped off and working well.  The litter boxes are cleaned and area swept up.  I played with all the kitties and they were so much fun!!  I told them I would miss them but I knew they'd be jumping around for joy to see their folks!  The temperature was good inside - all was well.  Please call me when you return so that I will know the kitties are no longer "home alone"  727-543-6470.  Please call me or e-mail me if you should need us again.  The kitties are ALL a delight to pet sit for!!  Kathy, the Critter Sitter
